New Abu Ghraib Photos Released

The ACLU has been trying to secure the release of more Abu Ghraib photos for a couple of years now, but the administration has been fighting disclosure, stating that releasing the photos would harm national security. Some more cynical observers believe the administration is more concerned that the release of the photos would harm the administration.

Unfortunately for the administration, an Australian television program released some of the photos last night and Rawstory published them on the web. Here are a few of them:

















Remember, this violence was perpetrated by just a few "bad apples" on the night shift.

No higher-ups in the U.S. military or the Bush administration were ever involved in ordering this kind of violence, torture or barbarism to be perpetrated on "insurgent" prisoners or "terrorists".
