So It Goes
Kurt Vonnegut died last night at the age of 84. Here's an excerpt from a poem of his called "Requiem":
R.I.P., Mr. Vonnegut.
When the last living thinghas died on account of us,
how poetical it would be
if Earth could say,
in a voice floating up
perhaps
from the floor
of the Grand Canyon,
“It is done.”
People did not like it here.
R.I.P., Mr. Vonnegut.

I'm very sad to hear that. I read all his books when I was in high school, and really liked him. It's sad that Imus gets all this attention while an influential writer like this gets relatively so little.
